   how volunteers can help
mission: build active communities working for fair and equal access
to healthcare, housing, education, jobs, civic participation
and economic resources for disadvantaged communities
with an emphasis on women and youth.

Dolores Huerta played a very important part in the formation and success of "La causa."  She was named one of the most important women in the 20th century. After teaching grammar school, Dolores left her job because in her words, "I couldn’t stand seeing kids come to class hungry and needing shoes. I thought I could do more by organizing farm workers than by trying to teach their hungry children."

IDEA
"Honor the hands that harvest your crops."
